Has anybody else experienced this, and how might I go about fixing this? Another mod I gotta do lol. This is a great spot to hide amps and crossovers for audio systems. If you wreck in that you run the risk of injuring occupants also. My tackle box was on the seat, and I closed it in the seat causing it to jam up and not allow the cable to completely close the latches. Well it's run 1 ohm mono at 1100 driven. Do you know how much is cut off. I don't see any integrity change with trimming the tabs even an inch or two. You will know if yours needs it. Chevrolet offers an extended crew cab in its line of pickup trucks, like the Silverado. This is the first I've heard of the mod so that you could the seat back down. Not sure if that made sense or just made it more confusing. The three child seats are installed in the second row.

You can fold the seat in the up position, feel with your finger around the back of the seat where you need to cut the tab. Get in a head on collision or some sort of accident, and if that rear seat back lets go? The extended crew cab gives the vehicle an entire back row of seating, ideal for a family. When you want the seat back, just push on top of the slide downward into the rear cab notch.
Two fit or connection issues. The top hole is used to accomodate the bolt which holds the slide. The rear seats in a Chevrolet Silverado can be folded up to allow more cargo space in the extended cab compartment. How many car seats fit in the second row? Plenty of room, even with the seat folded up and the seat back closer to the wall. I was actually mocking up my enclosure for that area.

Locate the two tabs on the back rest part of the seat, the part you want to fold down Take an air tool, jig saw, hack saw,, how ever you cut steel and cut the tabs back to the first hole on the tabs. You'll notice that normal operation of lifting the lower portion up, makes the back move up also. Easy access to the third row. You may have to get a set of vise grips on the final remaining section and bend them out a little to get that perfect match for entry exit slot. Do you know how much is cut off.
