Then sometimes when you give it gas it jumps out of gear again. At least 7 drivers had to swerve to avoid me as the truck lost power suddenly. Somehow, it can shift your car from gear to gear, knowing how fast you need to go and how quickly you need to get there. After work when I was going home, the 3rd door would not open. I decided to ignore the problem because I wasn't driving it as I was out of town for a week or so.
Feb 09, 2012 i had the same thing. Before my swap i read i needed transcrossmember and y pipe and drive shafts. I reported the problem to the Chevrolet headquarters. Upon driving it down the road the same thing happened again. Throttle sticks at trottle body and transmision cooler line leaks. I believe gm should help me defray at least part of the cost. My truck has been in the shop 5 times now and the problem only gets worse.
If resistance is within specification, problem is intermittent. Just my 2cents worth but i just did a manual swap on my 1993 s10 4wd. Some time last year I started to get a trouble code. If it is indeed low, this means you have a leak. To get to the line I had to unbolt the cruise control box and squeeze it with medium pressure against the clutch fluid reservoir to get it out of the way. With the car level as possible, leave the car ruuning an dpop the hood. The clutch pedal pushes down more freely than normal. Now transmission does not shift into second at all and there is no reverse. Whenever it senses a load such as climbing a grade or passing the tranny will attempt to downshift but seems to go between gears instead of into gear unless you let off the gas then it will shift. You have either no power to the transmission solenoids, or you have a problem with the shift solenoids. I used the brakes the anti locks came on and all lights interior and exterior cut off completely.
Unless your thirst for automotive knowledge borders on compulsive, you can leave it a mystery. Should be done every 30,000 miles or 30 months. When found … pull out and check levels. My transmission man does some transmission work for the chevy dealer across the street and when he mentioned the code to their service dealer, he was told that they did not have a fix for the problem as they couldn't diagnose the cause. It seems to only affect 2nd gear. I had a 91 plymouth stuck in 3rd gear because of this module! This should not happen at 48,000 miles. If resistance is low, disconnect wiring harness at component. It blew a large amount of transmission fluid out the vent tube on the rear of the transmission. I swapped it out and the problem ended up being a bad ground in the switch. The important thing is checking any other possible causes to your problem before you take the transmission apart, which is very expensive. Shop says transmission needs to be replaced. He described the underside of my truck as 'black' from the incident.

Bell housing was completely damaged. This can lead to a soft and inconsistent clutch pedal feel, as well as improper clutch disengagement when pushing in the clutch pedal. The question is: Could you find a dissent transmission of a 1986 Chevy S10 4X4. Could just be a power supply issue.
